Nicholas Kirkwood recently opened his new boutique in London which features this fascinating one-off couture line of Keith Haring – inspired art shoes.

Drenched in Swarovski crystals and bursting with the color, the line “pays homage to the opulence and expressions” of the 80’s , a time when Keith Haring was a prominent fixture in New York street culture.

Kirkwood was inspired by the “bold colors, defined shapes and edges” and it reads loud and clear in every design.

I realize this is serious, extraordinary fashion – but can’t you imagine Snooki rolling down the Jersey Shore boardwalk in those thigh- high Swarovski crystal, roller skate boots? LOL

The Gianmarco Lorenzi 2011 Spring Summer Collection can be summed up in three words: luxurious, provocative and ultra-feminine.

Gianni Renzi stayed true to the Gianmarco aesthetic, by designing unique silhouettes, like stacked geometric platforms and cutout knee high boots, and creating texture through blending various materials like lace, patent leather and python in vibrant color that give the collection a sophisticated and glamorous feel.

There’s more to this collection than what meets the eyes. Like all Gianmarco Lorenzi designs, it’s the details that make these shoes special. The intricate floral appliques, overlapping straps, buckles, bows and studded accents are precisely incorporated into each design.
